Billy Gunn was going to be on RAW but AEW avoided it

Road Dogg reveals that Billy Gunn was planned to be at DX’s 25th anniversary.

On October 10, WWE broadcast the Season Premiere of Monday Night Raw with the celebration of the 25th anniversary of D-Generation X, in which all its members were present except Billy Gunn, who is currently under contract with AEW.

During your participation in the podcast Oh You Didn’t KnowRoad Dogg revealed that Billy Gunn had confirmed the day before the event that he would be present, but that AEW avoided it the same day of the event and finally it could not be possible.

It broke my heart, and I think it broke hers too. Hunter wasn’t really happy about that either. Shawn and X-Pac either. We wanted the band, everything we could put back together. Chyna is there in spirit. I don’t know the exact reason, but they told me that everything we could do was done and that we couldn’t meet. The day before, I texted him, ‘Hey, are you going to be able to make it? Have you found an answer yet?’

He said, ‘Yes, I’m in.’ I was like, ‘Oh my God, that’s amazing.’ Literally before I landed at home, I found out that he was gone. I texted him back and he wasn’t happy either. It just didn’t work, never mind. I understand that AEW and WWE are not big fans of each other from a business standpoint. It was a big deal, and I feel like you got ripped off and didn’t experience it with us. I’m sorry about that. I know he feels it too.

Relations between WWE and AEW seem to continue without improving, especially after Tony Khan and the company’s board accused WWE of speaking without permission with some of its workers.
