WWE Monday Night RAW: Coverage and Results for October 18, 2021

Charlotte flair open Monday Night Raw. Ask where the thanks and tribute are on his last night on Raw. He complains about having a title match against Bianca Belair. “Bianca isn’t even on Raw yet. She has two starting chances this week, one for the Raw Championship and one for the Smackdown. And I’m the favorite?” Asks Flair. “Bianca, I am the mountain you cannot climb,” Charlotte assures.

Bianca belair He goes out to answer the champion. Belair says it’s not about conspiracies or favoritism, but about justice. “I deserve this rematch today,” he says, adding that he would have beaten Charlotte if it weren’t for Becky Lynch. “I will take Crown Jewel the championship, and I will return with one in each hand” assures Belair. Charlotte gets tired and attacks Bianca. Belair responds and makes her flee the ring.

Xavier Woods talks about how important it would be to win his match tonight, as it would put him within a match of becoming King of the Ring. Kofi Kingston says it’s Woods’ dream to become king. Xavier affirms that this Thursday at Crown Jewel he will be crowned King of the Ring.

Xavier Woods (w / Kofi Kingston) vs. Jinder Mahal (c / Veer & Shanky)

Xavier applies a Dropkick to Jinder’s back and knocks him into a corner, corner to corner. Mahal breaks free and runs him over to go on the attack. Xavier tries to surprise with a Roll Up and then a Sunset Flip, but it is not enough. Mahal pulls him out of the ring, causing him to crash head-on against the metal steps. Returning from commercials, Mahal dominates in the ring. Applies a Gutbuster but does not achieve the count of three. Xavier dodges a Knee Drop and goes on the attack. He looks for height but Xavier receives him with the Khallas. 1 … 2 … no! Xavier reaches the ropes to stop the count of three. Struggling up high, Xavier breaks free from Jinder, walks the rope, and dives into the Diving Elbow to claim victory.
Winner: Xavier Woods.

Xavier Woods goes to the final of the King of the Ring tournament.

Austin Theory he was being interviewed backstage about his win over Jeff Hardy, but Reggie and the wrestlers chasing him turned up running around. Theory gets upset and faces R-Truth. Truth says she’ll accept a match if Austin gets permission from his mother to stay up that late.

R-Truth comes out to the ring but says that he did not accept the challenge for himself, but for his friend: Jeff Hardy.

Austin Theory vs. Jeff Hardy
Austin takes Jeff down and taunts his moves. Hardy surprises him with a pin that almost gives him victory. Austin applies a Neckbreaker at ringside, with Jeff dangling from the edge of the ring. Upon returning from commercials, Jeff reacts and takes control of the meeting. Theory avoids a Swanton Bomb in the ring and connects his shot to take the victory.
Winner: Austin Theory.

After the fight, Austin takes a selfie with the fallen Jeff. As Austin continues on the phone, Hardy gets up. Twist of Fate! Jeff plays like Austin and takes a selfie while he lies on the mat.

Big E and Drew McIntyre They talk about what happened between them last week. They try to agree to coexist tonight, and that Thursday the best man in Crown Jewel wins.

Charlotte flair faces Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce. She complains about being interrupted and not having a farewell ceremony. “I smell a conspiracy,” says Charlotte.

Drew McIntyre & Big E vs. Dirty Dawgs (Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler)
Ziggler and E begin the match. Dolph reacts to Drew and gives the relief to Roode. “I’m Big Bob!” Roode yells as he punches Drew in the corner. McIntyre responds by rolling it over and applying a Suplex. Big E maintains control and also takes Ziggler out of his corner. E looks for his Splash on the edge of the ring, but Ziggler saves Roode. Big E sends Dolph to the timekeeper area, Roode takes the opportunity to crash the champion against the metal steps. After the break, Roode and Ziggler control E in his corner, preventing him from looking for relief. E manages to get rid of Ziggler and reaches Drew, so that he charges with his power against rivals. McIntyre dominates completely and applies an Inverted Alabama Slam to Dolph on Robert. Ziggler takes E from ringside, Roode pushes Drew to crash into his partner like last week, but Drew stops in time. Dirty Dawgs collectively attack Drew, but he resists an Assisted Famouser. Big E takes over and finishes Roode with the Big Ending.

Drew McIntyre and Big E speak after the match. They shake hands and challenge each other for their battle at Crown Jewel.

The Street Profits They talk about their arrival on Raw. AJ Styles and Omos They face them, saying that Raw is their home. AJ says that he and Omos will be the new champions after Crown Jewel. AJ tells them that if they take care of RKO-Bro they could be at the top of the challengers list when they are champions. Angelo and Montez laugh and yell “We want the smoke.”
