WWE makes changes to Akira Tozawa’s character

Few hours ago, WWE celebrated the recordings of Main Event before the live broadcasts of Monday Night RAW. The company carried out two combats for the episode that will be broadcast on November 24 on the Hulu Network.

One of them had Akira Tozawa facing NXT competitor Grayson Waller. Beyond the result of this match, fans were surprised by a new presentation for the first. Tozawa he put aside his ninja facet to don a wrestling outfit much more in keeping with his previous stint as a cruiserweight competitor on 205 Live.

UPDATE: Akira Tozawa was also seen on Raw with this new look, confirming the change. He intervened in the fight between Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin, a moment that favored the victory of the Scotsman.

Akira Tozawa introduced his ninja persona during the cinematic combat between the Street Profits and the Viking Raiders in Backlash 2020. Despite not advancing in stories related to the character, the fighter kept this outfit for the last two and a half years. At a certain point, Akira came to have Omos as a temporary ally within the ninja side of him.

It should be remembered that Tozawa starred in a very celebrated moment last week on Monday Night RAW. The wrestler managed to put Baron Corbin and JBL “broke” before challenging him to a match. Despite his defeat, Tozawa offered a one-on-one with a more “serious” approach than seen in recent months.
