Tigres, Pachuca, Atlas and León met their rivals for the round of 16 of the Concacaf Champions League

The Mexican teams already know their rivals for the 2023 Concacaf Champions Leaguewhere the most attractive duel will be between the Tigres and Orlando City of the MLS.

This Monday the draw for the round of 16 of the 2023 Concacaf Champions League was held, where Pachuca and Atlas will participate as champions of the MX Leagueas well as León, runner-up, and Tigres, the club that scored the most points in the 2021-2022 season.

Atlas will face Olimpia from Honduras; Pachuca to Motagua and León to the Taurus of Panama.

The last champions Pachuca and Atlas will face Honduran teams in the round of 16 of the CONCACAF Champions Leagueafter the draw in which the León y Tigres also participated.

In the round of 16, Pachuca will face Motagua from Honduras and Atlas will face Olimpia from the same country, in search of a pass to the quarterfinals of the competition.

Los Tuzos are the current champions of the MX Leaguebut they qualified because they lost the final against Atlas, in the Clausura 2022 tournament. Pachuca has stated on several occasions that its desire is to win this tournament, because it seeks to go to the Club World Cup, in case it continues disputing.

For its part, the León will face the Tauro, the representative of Panama in the tournament that will be played from March 7 and includes the return matches in the middle of the same month.

The other team from Liga MX that participates is Tigres, which has the most difficult rival for the Mexicans, Orlando City from MLS.

León is one of the Mexican clubs that has the need to stand out at the international level, something that they have not been able to do in recent years, since they are always eliminated in the stages prior to the final.
