Urban Mobility Unit continues to operate and seized 6 vehicles for positive spirometry | Daily Change

By Karina De Mattos.
From some time to the present the Transit Directorates of the Municipalities have increased their work and importance. We know that it is better to prevent in all aspects. In this sense, work is being carried out from the Salto Municipality, in the Urban Mobility Unit. In communication with Henry Albarenque, director of the aforementioned area, who related details of recent and future work.
-What tasks does Urban Mobility occupy at present?
-On Friday we carried out operations that are carried out on weekends, in this 6 vehicles were seized for positive spirometry. Always with police support, they are being done in different parts of the city.
-How do you analyze the behavior of citizens?
-What we see at night is that for example, on August 24, when there was an announced procedure, both from the Salto Intendancy, as well as from the Prefecture, Police, there were many people in the operation and it was shocking, on this day the Salteño took better care of himself. 600 spirometries were performed and only 6 were positive. And in the weekends that followed, with less staff and visualization, more positive spirometries have been performed, I think it is a phenomenon that people, seeing more control, take better care of themselves. The Salta, seeing fewer people at the controls, takes less care and does not comply with the law. As controls are mobile, seizures rise. Surely between what will take place on Saturday night and what will be seized on Friday we will exceed what was sanctioned last weekend.
-Are the radars already operational?
-The radars are operational in the same two places where we have been working on them for 7 months. In the part of Parque Harriague y Rincón and on Avenida Batlle before reaching Calle Bella Unión. They are the two operational radars that we have. At this moment, the Bella Union one is out of service due to a software update but it will soon be operational again ”.
-What other tasks do Urban Mobility occupy?
“These days we began the installation of the posters in the Parque Solari and Villa España neighborhoods. This was approved by the Mayor of Salto the arrowing of the streets. We have prepared the signage and will install it. The two neighborhoods will have arrows from Paraguay towards the center, up to Avenida Luis Batlle Berres. We had a complication of Avenida Barbieri and Batlle, from these two neighborhoods we had this situation in which vehicles came and went from north to south and south to north, we asked the Mayor for the arrowing of these neighborhoods so that the entrance of one of the avenues main of Salto have greater ordering of the traffic ”.
-Within the topic of buses, the application Where to?
-We are happy with the new system that we presented a few days ago, the application «Where to?», We have received many messages that say that it solves the issue of waiting for the bus and waiting at the stop, being able to instantly know where it is the bus is very practical. It comes in handy for bus users.
-Is the reestablishment of the urban passenger transport service being prepared on Sundays?
-That is another coordination we are working on that has to do with the return of the departmental transport service on Sundays. From Sunday, September 26, the service will resume from 6:30 in the morning and at 2:30 p.m. with lines 1, 2, 7 and 11.
