KAT, with greater leadership, in search of its second playoffs

The Minnesota Timberwolves face the Los Angeles Clippers in the first stage of Play-In in the Western Conference with the best team in the Karl Towns era

Much has changed since 2018 when Tom Thibodeau reached the playoffs for the first and only time with the minnesota timberwolves falling in the first round against the Houston Rockets, then led by James Harden and Chris Paul.

Karl-Anthony Towns he is the only player left from that team that reached the postseason. Andrew Wiggins, Jimmy Butler, Derrick Rose, Jeff Teague, among others, have long since left. A team that will also enter a new stage with a change of owners.

Now it is a team with very hungry young people like Anthony Edwards, Jarred Vanderbilt Y Jaden McDaniels. Now it is a team led by a Chris Finch who has managed to make all the pieces fit perfectly to make fans dream of getting past a first round, something they have not achieved for almost 20 years.

But perhaps the biggest change the Minnesota Timberwolves have undergone is the growth, both on and off the court, of their undisputed star Karl Towns.

After going through multiple situations, KAT will be in its second playoffs and although the process must be carried out day by day, game by game, it is certain that the objective will not only be to advance in the Play-In, but to go further. Farther than that 2018 team did that had talent, but not the chemistry of the current group.

“It’s more than just the talent that this dressing room has… It’s the character”, expressed Towns near the All-Star break. It is something that has been created little by little with gifts to his colleagues and group trips, such as the one to the Bahamas.

Before joining the team, D’Angelo Russell, a great friend of Towns, pointed out that going to play in Minnesota was like going to a neighborhood field alone. There wasn’t much energy, he recounted.
