Jokic seals new triple-double, Doncic knocks down Morant and 76ers do not see the light

Serbian Nikola Jokic, who matched the 78 triple-doubles of the legendary Wilt Chamberlain; Slovenian Luka Doncic, who directed the Dallas Mavericks’ lopsided victory over Ja Morant’s Memphis Grizzlies; and the third loss in three games for the Philadelphia 76ers stood out in the NBA.

The Boston Celtics, who remain undefeated after beating the Orlando Magic with forty points from Jayson Tatum, and the Milwaukee Bucks, with 44 points from the Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo against the Houston Rockets, also lit up a day in which Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers gave a recital in Chicago against the Bulls.

NUGGETS 122 – THUNDER 117

After the triple-double achieved just 24 hours earlier against the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco, Jokic was once again decisive for his team to add their second consecutive victory, with 19 points, 16 rebounds and 13 assists. With this great performance, he caught up with Chamberlain in sixth place in the ranking of players with the most triple-doubles (78).

The table is led by Russell Westbrook of the Los Angeles Lakers with 194, followed by Oscar Robertson with 181, Magic Johnson with 138, Jason Kidd with 107 and LeBron James with 105.

MAVERICKS 137 – GRIZZLIES 96

Luka Doncic won the duel between young stars to Ja Morantscoring 32 points, with 7 rebounds and 10 assists in the Mavericks’ resounding victory against the Grizzlies.

It was the first victory for Dallas, which had opened its debut losing to the Phoenix Suns, including a comeback, and it was the first loss in three games for the Grizzlies, in which Ja Morant contributed 20 points, 1 rebound and 4 assists.

The Argentine Facundo Campazzo still could not debut in the Mavericks due to delays with his work visa.

BUCKS 125 – ROCKETS 105

Milwaukee Bucks, with the Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo as the protagonist with a double double of 44 points and 12 rebounds, imposed their law against the Houston Rockets, a team in which Usman Garuba took advantage of his opportunity as a starter and contributed 6 points and 8 rebounds.

The former Real Madrid player was on court for 25 minutes and, in addition to his 6 points and 8 rebounds, he distributed 2 assists and had 4 steals. His compatriot Serge Ibaka, in the Bucks, recorded 9 points and 5 rebounds in just under 15 minutes.

76ERS 105 – SPURS 114

The 76ers still haven’t seen the light of day, after defeats against the Celtics and the Bucks, they gave up at home against the Spurs despite a double-double of 40 points and 13 rebounds from Joel Embiid. James Harden came close to the triple-double, but only scored 12 points, with nine rebounds and 12 assists.

For the Spurs, the best were Devin Vassell, with 22 points, and Keldon Johnson, with 21 points and 8 rebounds.

BULLS 96 – CAVALIERS 128

Donovan Mitchell, who savored the triple-double with 32 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists, and a resounding Kevin Love, with 5 of 6 triples, showed the power of the Cleveland Cavaliers, who strolled through Chicago and beat the Bulls by 128-96.

The Cavaliers showed their tremendous potential with 59% on three-pointers (16 of 27) and dominance in the paint with 56 rebounds against 37 for the Bulls, led by Mitchell who offered his best performance with the new jersey after scoring 31 points scored in the loss suffered against the Toronto Raptors.

MAGIC 120 – CELTICS 126

Jayson Tatum prolonged his sweet moment and sank the Orlando Magic with 40 points and 9 reboundssupported by the 27 points of Derrick White, with five triples, Y the Celtics added their third victory in three games.

In the Magic, the best was Terrence Gross, with 29 points, while the Italian Paolo Banchero, first choice in the draft, contributed 23 pointswith 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

KINGS 109 – CLIPPERS 111

Without Kawhi Leonard or John Wall, Paul George led the Clippers with 40 points6 rebounds and 6 assists to give his team the second victory of two in this season start.

It was the 19th game of his career with at least 40 points.

For the Kings, De’Aaron Fox shone with 36 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, unable to avoid his team’s second straight loss.

HEAT 112 – RAPTORS 109

After starting the year with losses at home against the Bulls and Celtics, the Heat recovered with a win against the Raptors with 24 points from Jimmy Butler, 20 from Max Strus and 17 from Kyle Lowry.

Pascal Siakam contributed 23 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists as the best of the Raptors.

PACERS 124 – PISTONS 115

The Pacers added their first victory of the year, pushed by 27 points and 7 rebounds from Bennedict Mathurin and a double-double of 24 points and 10 assists from Tyrese Haliburton.

The Pistons failed to reward a great team performance, with all five of their starters scoring over ten points, led by Cade Cunningham’s 22.
