Coming into this match, Golden State Warriors had mark of 12-2 at home and 3-16 as a visitor. But luckily for Steve Kerr’s, the nba christmas found them at home, where they brought out that performance that they usually show in front of their audience and even without Steph Curry (nor Andrew Wiggins), they dominated the Memphis Grizzlies 123-109.
The meeting was loaded with arguments and technical fouls, in a new chapter between two teams that already met in the 2022 Playoffs and that do not have much affection for each other. So hot was the story that Jordan Poole was sent offafter having been one of the figures of the night: 32 points in just 29 minutes.
In the Warriors there was also 24 points and 9 rebounds from Klay Thompson and 19 points from Donte DiVincenzo. In turn, the number of substitutes was also positive: 14 points of Ty Jerome11 out of Anthony Lamb and 10 of Moses Moody. Memphis hardly had a standout night of Ja Morant (36 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds) but the rest were well below expectations: 2-13 from the field for Desmond Bane, 4-12 for Dillon Brooks and Jaren Jackson with most minutes on the bench for their tendency to commit totally unnecessary offenses.
