David Ortiz warns NY: ‘Yankees, be careful with your new Papi in the Playoffs’

After announcing his retirement from baseball, David Ortiz made clear his love for the “King of Sports”, as he is still linked to the ball but now as an analyst on the television network Fox Sports.

Price at start of American League Championship Series (ALCS) between the yankees and the starsbig daddyissued a warning to the Bomberswhose team has had many problems against Houston when they have met in the round of playoffs in recent years.

Ortiz, who this year earned his place in the Cooperstown Hall of Fame, launched a threat to the Yankees, since according to his point of view, the Astros have become his “daddies” in recent seasons. This is what the legendary former Red Sox slugger said during a broadcast of a Fox Sports program:

“Be careful who you wish… I think the Yankees have a new daddy.” Said the three-time World Series winner with the Red Sox.

For seven years, the Astros have been the executioners of the Yankees in the postseason phase. In the 2015 season the “Siderales” eliminated them in the Wild Card series, while in 2017 and 2019 they have done evil to them in the Championship Series.

This year things are not looking good for the Mulos, who are already down 2-0 in a series to win four of seven games to advance to the World Series. Will the Yankees be able to recover or will they succumb to the Astros again? We will know that in the next few days.

I am a graduate of the Autonomous University of Guadalajara since 2012, graduated as a Bachelor of Communication Sciences. After having been a radio announcer for a few years in the “Perla Tapatia”, I returned to my hometown, Mazatlán, Sinaloa and was hired by El Debate Newspaper in May 2019. My first months in El Debate were writing articles for the vertical: “My Pocket”, however, in September of the same year I became part of the powerful lineup of “Al Bat”, where I am still working as a web journalist. In “Al Bat”, we truthfully present to our readers the most relevant aspects of the baseball world, mainly from the MLB, winter leagues in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the Asian continent. I am a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League and the Boston Red Sox in the American League. My big dream is to get to know the Fenway Park stadium, the historic venue of the “Patirrojos”.
