NFL: Giants’ Sterling Shepard out for remainder of year with torn cruciate ligament

The New York Giants not only did they lose their undefeated record to the Dallas Cowboys in the monday night football of week 3 of the NFL, but they have also lost Sterling Shepard for the remainder of the campaign.

Today, NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport revealed that Giants head coach Brian Daboll reported that Shepard suffered anterior cruciate ligament tear on his left knee.

“He is a tremendous person. i feel terrible for him”, Daboll commented to the media, expressing his regret for the veteran of 7 seasons on the gridirons.

Last season, Sterling Shepard played only 7 games, due to another severe injury, a torn Achilles tendon, for which he needed much of 2021 as well as this 2022 before being able to compete again in the current campaign.

In the first 3 games this year with the Giants, Shepard, 29, led the New York team in receiving yards with 154, with 13 receptions and a touchdown.
