Tonight WWE returns to perform a SmackDown show in which Brock Lesnar will return to confront the Universal Champion, Roman Reigns again, although Sami Zayn got a title shot last week. Brock Lesnar is in charge of opening the show. He says he has returned for one reason only, the WWE Universal Championship. However, Sami Zayn interrupts ‘The Beast’. He says that their careers are very similar. Lesnar quickly tells him to shut up and asks if he’s a fan, since he doesn’t know him. Sami replies that he is the contender for the WWE Universal Championship. Although Sami says that he will fight Reigns on Day 1, Lesnar manages to convince him to make the fight tonight in San Antonio. Also, Lesnar tells him that he will cover his back tonight.

Sonya Deville makes the match between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn official for tonight, and also confirms that the winner will defend the WWE Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar on Day 1.

Sasha Banks makes her entrance to the ring to face Shayna Baszler.

• Banks takes the victory with a Roll-Up.

Here is a new segment of Happy Corbin, after telling several bad jokes they are interrupted by Drew McIntyre and Jeff Hardy, who end up kicking them out of the ring.

It is announced that Xia Li will debut next Friday on SmackDown.

The Viking Raiders enter the ring to face Los Lotharios.

• The Lotharios take the victory.

Backstage, Toni Storm states that although Charlotte Flair humiliated her last week, she still wants to face the SmackDown Women’s Champion and take the title from her.

Jey Uso enters the ring to face King Woods. Finally, Woods announces that Kofi Kingston is back.

The fight ends without result because Jimmy Uso attacks Woods, however, Kofi manages to save his partner.

Charlotte Flair enters the ring and says that Tony Storm would also be humiliated if they meet in the ring and repeats that he is a level above him. While Charlotte is heading backstage, Tony Storm appears from behind and takes revenge by punching her.

Sheamus enters the ring to face Cesaro.

• Sheamus takes the victory with a Brogue Kick.

Sami Zayn comes out to the ring and says that this is the most important fight of his career and that Texas is the place he likes the least. So he says he’s going to walk out of the show as the new WWE Universal Champion, with only Brock Lesnar to thank for that. However, Lesnar comes out and applies several German Suplexes and F-5s to him.

Roman Reigns goes out to the ring to face Zayn.

• Reigns takes the victory quickly after applying a Spear and a Guillotine.
