Shield has been one of the most dominant groups in the history of WWE. made up of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley in AEW) and Roman Reigns, stood out as a group starting in 2012, when they made their first appearance on the main roster. Seth Rollins separated the group in 2014, but we saw them join forces again between the years 2017 and 2019.
With Moxley succeeding in All Elite Wrestling it is difficult for us to see the original group in action again. Seth Rollins recently spoke about this in an interview for DigitalSpywhere he noted that it is likely that, at the risk of being mistaken, let’s not see them together again until they are inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
“I can say this, and maybe this could come back to haunt me at some point, but I just I don’t think you’re going to see the three of us forming a team anymoreSeth Rollins told Digital Spy. “It wouldn’t look the way people want to see it. It wouldn’t be like the old days on The Shield, it would be a different animal.”
“I think we’re all too big stars with too big personalities right now. So we don’t need each other. We’re at a point where we’re all independent stars on a different level.. So having to downplay that to fit into each other’s molds, I just don’t see it happening again. The next time they see us together will be when they induct us into the WWE Hall of Fame.”
