AEW Dynamite Report 2/16 – Sammy Guevara defends against Darby Allin

CM Punk was sitting in the ring. He now he can choose the time and place to face MJF, and it will be AEW Revolution. He then said that it will be Dog Collar Match. He demanded that MJF come out.

MJF walks out, but before he could say anything, Punk snapped the famous photo with him and a childhood Max. If that was the best day of MJF’s life, Revolution will be the worst. The canvas will be stained with his blood.

Instead of saying anything, MJF just paused, dropped the mic, and left.

Bryan Danielson defeated Lee Moriarty

After the match, Danielson said he wanted to team up with Moxley to teach young wrestlers and demands an answer.

Moxley made his entrance and couldn’t think of a reason to say “no”. But maybe the only reason Danielson wants to be by Moxley’s side is because he doesn’t want to be *in front* of Moxley. Moxley is not next to anyone until he bleeds with them first.

There was a promo video for Keith Lee. He was the first to qualify for the Face of the Revolution ladder match, and he has come to AEW to make a statement.

Face of the Revolution Qualifier: Wardlow (with Shawn Spears) defeated Max Caster (with Anthony Bowens)

After the match, Bowens immediately attacked Wardlow, who powerbombed him in return. Spears then hit Acclaimed with the chair.

Schiavone asked Hangman Page in the ring about his violent encounter with Lance Archer. Before he could say anything, Adam Cole interrupted and walked out. Cole has been a world champion everywhere he’s gone, and it’s a shame Page’s reign has to end soon.

In the time that Cole left, Page became a great champion, but the reality is that he has always been known as “the other Adam”. One day, they will fight for the AEW World Championship, and when that day comes, “may the best man win.”

Cole’s music played and he walked away, but Page was attacked from behind by reDRagon until the Dark Order saves with Ten attacking many in safety.

Santana & Ortiz (with Eddie Kingston) defeated Chris Jericho & Jake Hager. Jericho eliminated Kingston with a springboard dropkick, but Santana avoided the Judas effect and hit Jericho with a discus lariat for the win.

The Elite were backstage. Cole said that Jay White would beat Trent Beretta and that the two teams would win the pitched battle.

No Disqualification: Thunder Rosa defeated Mercedes Martinez behind the Fire Thunder in a stack of chairs to earn the victory.

After the match, Rosa showed respect to Martinez, but then Britt Baker consulted Cobra Kai’s badass actor trainer at ringside, who told her to “Finish her.” They attacked Rosa, setting Martinez up to attack with the tube, but Martinez doubted her, so Jamie Hayter attacked her.

Malakai Black with Brody King, who asked who they were waiting for and Black replied “history”.

TNT Championship: Sammy Guevara (c) defeated Darby Allin in a tremendous match when Allin set up Guevara for a Coffin Drop, but Andrade’s assistant Jose came out and got on the apron. Sting chased after him, but Andrade El Idolo used the distraction to hit Allin with his iPad. Guevara hit the GTH for the win.

After the match, Matt Hardy ran out and attacked Allin, but Guevara gave chase. Andrade hit him with the iPad and walked away with the TNT Championship to end the show.

We would like to give thanks to the writer of this post for this awesome material
