Former Pumas player, Johan Vásquez, is the second Mexican to score in Serie A in Italy, after Chucky Lozano
ITALY — Johan Vasquez made history, as the defender became the second Mexican to score a goal in the Italy Serie A, in addition that he became the first defender to score a goal in said competition, surpassing elements such as Rafael Marquez, Hector Moreno, Carlos Salcedo and Miguel Layún.
Vásquez lived a dream debut, as he completed his first 90 minutes in Europe and did so by contributing to the offense, since he scored the goal with which he Genoa tied two against him Sassuolo in the Italian league and, most importantly, he took the team out of the relegation zone.
In addition, the 22-year-old from Sonora is the second Aztec player to score a goal in the Italian competition, only behind Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano, who is one of the main figures of Napoli and who became the second most expensive signing in the history of the Neapolitan team.
