The Mexican goalkeeper, Guillermo Ochoa, explained why he could not reach the elite of European football like Keylor Navas.
The Mexican goalkeeper of Club America, William Ochoaexplained why he could not reach the elite of European football, as the Costa Rican goalkeeper did Keylor Navaswho has shone with real Madrid Y paris st germain to the point that adds 18 titles.
Ochoa was in the old continent between 2011 and 2019, with Ajaccio from France; Malaga and Granada from Spain; and Standard Liège from Belgium. Nevertheless, “Paco Memo”, made a mistake trying to explain why he couldn’t do what Navas did.
“He (Keylor Navas) had been in Europe for a while and he already had a community passport. The square was no longer something that limited him. At the time, I had offers from top teams, but they asked me…’ hey, if you get the passport, go. Damn, no, I couldn’t. and so it happened to me”, explained Ochoa in an interview with the Mexican television host Jorge ‘Burro’ Van Rankin.
The goalkeeper of the Mexican National Team assured that Navas played the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with a community passport, however, that is a mistake since Navas signed for Madrid in the second half of 2014, even without having the community passport, which he agreed to at the end of that year after he obtained Spanish nationality.
Ochoa insisted that, at the time, he could have been in a club that competes in the UEFA Champions League, but the passport thing stopped the signing. In addition to the fact that he himself announced that in 2011 he was close to signing for PSGif not for a positive for clenbuterol before the Gold Cup.
