This is the time of year we hear the term “scheme adjustment” in regards to NFL teams looking to fill out their rosters, which includes the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams looking for players who can fit in. in what they do.

An NFL and NFL Draft expert has found the “perfect fit” for the Rams on the morning of Monday, April 11.

Via ESPN’s Jordan Reid, he calls Tennessee-Chattanooga’s Cole Strange the 104th pick in the NFL Draft for the Rams.

This is what Reid wrote in his assessment of Strange:

“A perfect fit in the Rams’ zone scheme, Strange played primarily guard during his career, but looked good during his first stint at center during Senior Bowl practice week. His strength at the point of attack is underrated, and he has the quick feet to become a starter.”

How strange has attracted great interest

Strange is starting to fit into the dormant draft narrative, considering his rise up the draft boards as a prospect who played outside the realm of the Power Five and Group of Five.

But he’s tangled with Power Five talent before, notably a future first-rounder.

While at UT Chattanooga, he once crossed paths with a future first-round NFL player for the San Francisco 49ers. A scouting director for an NFC team told nfl.com’s Lance Zierlein that Strange was “chasing” the strongest prospect.
