Steelers hire Brian Flores as defensive assistant and linebackers coach

Flowers Experience

Flores spent the last three seasons (2019-2021) as the Dolphins’ head coach. and, despite obtaining a winning record in the last two, he signed a 24-25 record and never reached the postseason.

His NFL career began at age 23, when he joined the New England Patriots as a recruiting assistant. for the 2004 season. In 2006 he was promoted to scout and in 2008 he was established as an assistant coach for special teams.

For the 2010 campaign, Flores diversified his experience and served as an offensive assistant and special teams coach. The following season he pivoted to defense as a defensive assistant in New England. In 2012 he was promoted to safetys coach for the Patriots and from 2016 to 2018 he specialized in linebackers.
