Randy Gregory heads to Broncos, after Cowboys announced he was staying

In one of the most surprising management changes in free agency history, the defender heads to Denver after his original team, Dallas, made the announcement of his renewal.

ENGLEWOOD — In a surprising — and very public — change of heart on free agency, the Denver Broncos have agreed terms with veteran outside linebacker randy gregory.

The Dallas Cowboys had announced on their social media accounts Tuesday morning that gregory had agreed to return to the team, but multiple sources from the broncos confirmed that gregory had instead agreed to a contract with Denver. The deal is basically the same in terms of construction: five years for $70 million, with $28 million in guarantees, coming in the first two years of the deal, mostly.
