Dallas could be looking to add a veteran receiver to the roster

Everything seems to indicate that the work in the offices to seek reinforcements in the Cowboys has not finished. And in fact, what Dallas could be aiming for is to add a veteran league receiver to their ranks. All this as a result of the exchange they made with the Browns, who in the end kept the services of Amari Cooper. Therefore, the possibility of finding someone rigorous to accompany CeeDee Lamb in her third year as a professional is being widely considered.

Of course, it should not be left out that in this stretch of the offseason, the exchange of receivers to other teams has been a trend. Now, the small detail is that it has become known that the Cowboys were in talks to keep this last receiver. ESPN’s Adam Schefter made this claim according to various league sources. Therefore, it is implied that Dallas is looking for a veteran receiver and is doing everything possible to achieve it.

Of course, keep in mind that the Patriots’ trade for Parker ended up being for a third-round pick in 2023, while the Dolphins will have to give up a fifth-round pick this year. Now, going back to the Cowboys, it seems they’re still on the lookout for reliable elements of the league. That’s why they’ve turned their attention to Titans wide receiver AJ Brown. Either way, if you trade for Brown, you’ll have to see what Tennessee is going to ask for and see if the front office would be willing to accept these terms. After all, the WR has been extremely productive in the league since his arrival via the second round of the 2019 Draft. Clearly the Titans wouldn’t give the Cowboys an easy time against one of his stars.

Also, take into account that Dallas managed to extend Michael Gallup and have retained the services of James Washington through free agency. However, it is not known how long it will take for Gallup to return after his injury. And in the specific case of Washington, he signed on for a backup role. So clearly Dallas could still be looking for a big name to put in his ranks.

In the event that this does not happen, the objectives will focus on the 2022 Draft process. Remember that the Cowboys have the 24th pick in the first round. And while it is true that the request is to select someone for the offensive line, Dallas could choose to keep a receiver instead. It wouldn’t be the first time this has happened. Dallas is expected to land an experienced receiver in free agency and whether it’s an offer or a trade, the goal is achieved.
