The two locals won at the close of the third date of the Salteño First Division Basketball Championship. Ferro Carril beat 85 to 66 in the classic to Salto Uruguay at the Sports Center on December 1, 1912 and Juventus did the same with Círculo Sportivo, 75 to 55, at the Héctor Llona gym.
The date had begun with the triumph of Nacional also as a local against Universitario, in a duel that faced the two leaders. Now the tricolor command exclusively and Ferro and the U are the escorts.

LEAGUE OF THE AMERICAS
The groups of the Basketball Champions League Americas were raffled, where Biguá and Nacional, champion and vice respectively of the last LUB, will represent Uruguay.
It will be the third edition of this contest, which will have 36 games during the group stage and eight in Final 8, which will be by direct elimination of the quarterfinals and semifinals, with the winners advancing to the Championship game while the losers they will play for third place. In the first phase the first two of groups of three will advance to Final 8.
Nacional will have in its group Quimsa from Argentina and São Paulo from Brazil, while Biguá will face Obras Sanitarias from Argentina and Minas Tenis Clube from Brazil. The tournament will start in December.
THE NBA STARTED
Last night the first games of the most important league in the world, the NBA of the United States, were played. The champion Milwaukee Bucks opened the tournament against another great favorite, the Brooklyn Nets and two other candidates, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors, completed the scene of the first day. Today there are eleven games to choose from.
