As hard as it was a celebrated triumph, Cerro Largo took on the fierce South America at the Ubilla de Melo Stadium. With the goals of their defenders Agustín Heredia and Mauro, Brazil embraced victory. The mailboxes fought until the end, they tied it and they were able to continue on, but again they left empty-handed.
The team led by Professor Mateo Caballero – Danielo Núñez suspended – took the lead early. After the corner -and assist- from Mauro Estol, Agustín Heredia won overhead to score the opening goal.
South America managed to tie it a few minutes later: Bruno Giménez finished with power on the edge of the area, goalkeeper Juan González rebounded and Marcos Camarda did not forgive to put the temporary tie in the score. The arachán was the one who generated the most in that first half, but he lacked the final punch. In the most auspicious, a shot from Estol hit the post.
In addition, the mailbox matched the process, attacked more and even had chances to get higher in the score. But Cerro Largo was more effective and four minutes from the end he finished it off with a goal from Mauro Brasil. The Melense team became strong again at home and celebrated the three points to rage.
