Alfredo Curtis will boost the Cuban Basketball Warriors in the Superior League

Matanzas, Dec 7 (ACN) Alfredo Curtis, 25-year-old forward, will assume for the first time the responsibility of leading the Guerreros de Matanzas in the next Superior Basketball League (LSB), scheduled to take place from March next year.

Curtis, with extensive experience in national elite category competitions and Cuba team preselections, will seek to carry the greatest offensive weight within the squad led by Reynaldo Delgado, who will try to hide the absences of Yuniskel Molina and Yosnier Morales, two of his pillars in the last campaigns.

I intend to focus on physical preparation and on recovering the effectiveness in the shots from the medium and long distances, declared today the native of the municipality of Pedro Betancourt, during the second training session with a view to the LSB.

Exclusively to the Cuban News Agency, Curtis acknowledged that now he will have to contribute more offensively and become a kind of driving force within the group, made up of very talented young people, but lacking experience in this type of competition.

Regarding the individualities that could shine in the League, the outstanding scorer highlighted the possibilities of the newcomer Daniel Babasto, who with just 18 years already participated in a preparation with members of the national team as a guest.
