LAST MINUTE: Cuba ANNOUNCED baseball team to Cali-Valle 2021

Just a few minutes ago, on the afternoon of this Sunday, November 14, the National Baseball Commission officially reported the Cuba baseball team that will participate in the I Junior Pan American Games in Cali-Valle 20201, an event that will take place on 25 November to December 5 to come.

According public On the Jit website, the roster is made up of three receivers, seven infielders, three outfielders and nine pitchers and will be directed by former receiver from Spiritus Eriel Sánchez, also manager of the Cuba team that participated in the III Sub 23 World Cup held recently in Mexico.

Six of the 12 players who returned to Cuba after the World Cup event in Aztec lands, lead this team that was announced today and will try to seek the gold medal in a tournament that will be played at the Edgar Renteria stadium of the alternate headquarters of Barranquilla, specifically between November 26 and December 2.

These are the cases of Matanzas receiver Andrys Pérez, Granmense first baseman and outfielder Guillermo García (Team Captain) and four pitchers: the speedy right-hander from Pinar del Río Frank Abel Álvarez, the left-hander from Yumurino Naikel Cruz, the right-hander from Granma Kelbis Rodríguez, the Mayan right-hander Marlon Vega and José Eduardo Santos from Spiritus.

Note here that both Guillermo and Frank Abel recently signed their contracts to play in the Japanese Professional Baseball League (NPB) with the Chunichi Dragons franchise of the Japanese circuit.

According to Jit in his publication, manager Eriel Sánchez expressed, once again, that the main objective of the cast is to reach the podium of the contest, whose schedule was recently announced.
