WWE Raw will leave USA Network temporarily | Superfights

WWE has frequently had to change its plans when the networks that own its broadcast rights show programming or special events. NBC Universal will broadcast this year’s Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics through its group of networks, which means that WWE Raw will have to temporarily move to a new house.

► Winter Olympics will displace WWE Raw from programming

Precisely, PW Insider has recently reported that Monday Night Raw will move to SyFy for two weeks in February, as USA Network will be covering the Winter Olympics on those nights. The affected days are January 7 and 14.

“PWInsider.com has learned that for two weeks in February, WWE’s Monday Night Raw will leave USA Network to air on Syfy. On Monday, February 7 and Monday, February 14, USA Network will air live coverage of the Winter Olympics, requiring Raw to be moved from its usual home for the first time in decades.

On Monday, February 7, USA will broadcast Men’s Figure Skating. On Monday, February 14, the cable network will air Freestyle Skiing.”

This is a very rare situation for WWE Raw, as it is usually not affected by these events, unlike SmackDown that on some occasions has had to be broadcast on FS1 when Fox was airing shows or special events.

Given this situation, despite the fact that WWE Raw no longer has to compete with the NFL, whose season is ending, it runs into this new situation at the Winter Olympics, and their ratings could stay low for a few more weeks. It will be necessary to see how the company decides to promote its programs prior to Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 38.
