ANDhe Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard play with the elastic of the gunners. Something that, according to the last words of Carlo Ancelotti shortly before the start of the first league game, see it coming and that, possibly, it has accelerated the process of consummating the agreement and officially announcing that the Nordic will return to London and already owned by Arsenal (Madrid only reserves a right of first refusal in the event of a future sale).

The agreement between Real Madrid and Arsenal for the final departure of the player born in Drammen (12-17-1998) closes around the 40 million euros. Remember that Odegaard came to Madrid for four. After playing six months on loan in the team gunner last season, now the Norwegian midfielder has signed a contract that will unite him with the London entity until 2026.

OdegaardAt just 22 years old, he has already defended the shirts of Stromsgodset, Castilla, Herenveen, Vitesse, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Arsenal. In addition, with his selection he has 30 games and one goal.

This, however, in addition to being a good solution for Odegaard, since surely having many minutes of football, is great news for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who I aspired to recover the Nordic player given his important contribution last year.

His numbers last season since he landed on the London winter market speak for themselves in this regard. A total of 14 matches played in the Premier League, in which he gave two assists and scored a goal (to Tottenham). In Europa League, he played all the matches that Arsenal faced (6) until he was eliminated by Villarreal in the semifinals.

Odegaard invents this and Arsenal dreams of Europe: what a left-handed man he has!

Norwegian came to Real Madrid in 2015 and, since then, he has never had continuity in the white club’s first team. After passing through Castilla, two Dutch teams (Heerenveen, Vitesse), and the Real societyIt seems that it is in London and Arsenal where Odegaard has felt most comfortable and where he has been able to deploy his football with the calm that continuity on the pitch always brings. And above all, because it has the backing of Arteta.
