Again “The Louse”

The coach of the Tigres UANL, Miguel Herrera, asked the Mexico coach, the Argentine Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino, to step down if he has health problems and raised his hand to replace him. “He jumps us because he doesn’t go to the games for health reasons, but if he doesn’t have health he would have to step aside, I don’t know what he has. If he flies to Argentina, he would have to fly to Honduras,” Herrera told ESPN, in statements reproduced this Tuesday by the Mexican media. Herrera referred to the absence of Martino on the bench of the Mexican team last Sunday in the match against the Honduran team in San Pedro Sula. The Argentine underwent retinal surgery a few weeks ago that has left him with consequences and took a break in the duel against the Hondurans, which the Mexicans won 0-1.

The NFL prepares

Denver Broncos linebacker Bradley Chubb asserted this Saturday that the AFC Western Division will be the toughest in the NFL in the 2022 season because of the way the teams that make it up have been strengthened.

“Without a doubt, it will be the toughest Division because of the way the Raiders have been reinforced with Davante Adams, the Chiefs brought a couple of receivers, the same as the Chargers and we have Russell Wilson”, detailed the linebacker during his visit to the Mexico City.

Chubb was the representative of the Denver Broncos in the launch of the NFL’s “The International Home Marketing Area” program, which aims to make the league have a greater impact in several countries, including Mexico.

Pujols returns to St. Louis

The St. Louis Cardinals have added Dominican star slugger Albert Pujols to their ranks, giving him a one-year deal to put back on the jersey he wore for 10 years.

The agreement, which was announced by MLB.Com early Monday morning, establishes a salary of 2.5 million dollars for Pujols, who last season played with the Los Angeles Dodgers, after he was released by the Angels.

This agreement will allow Pujols to return to the team where he began his career in the Major Leagues in 2001, a season in which he marked what would be his journey until today, winning the National League Rookie of the Year award.
