This Friday began the activity of the National Basketball Arena Tournament, which takes place in Bajada 5 in the city of Puerto Madryn, with the participation of teams from different parts of the country.
The mayor of Puerto Madryn, Gustavo Sastre, spoke about the opening of the National Basketball Arena Tournament, which is already taking place on the shores of the city and will culminate on October 11, within the framework of “Madryn at all costs”. The activity is organized by the Undersecretary of Sports and has participants from different parts of the country.
The competition is held in Bajada 5 and will take place over four days. The categories will be: female (+30, +40 and +50) and mixed (sub 35 and +35). It should also be noted that it has the accompaniment of Chubut Deportes.
National Capital
In this regard, the Mayor said: “This is the first time we have received this competition, but in recent months we have hosted many national and international tournaments. Definitively, Puerto Madryn became the National Capital of Beach Sports ”.
In addition, the Community Chief remarked: “Basketball Arena is a modality that is growing by leaps and bounds throughout the world and, in Puerto Madryn, we have a sustained advance, with tournaments and meetings to promote this discipline, thanks to the work we develop from the Municipality and also to the natural setting we have ”.

During the entire competition they will participate: Quique Club Paraná (Entre Ríos), Las Bandurrias (Río Negro), Calafate (Santa Cruz), Río Cuarto (Córdoba), Choris Beach (Paraná), Arena Madryn (Chubut), Madryn Beach (Chubut) , Quinas Comodoro Rivadavia (Chubut), Mutisias (Neuquén – Río Negro), Suris Beach (Paraná), Southern Winds (Pico Truncado, Santa Cruz), Las Tuercas (Paraná, Entre Ríos), Comodoro Palazzo (Chubut), Route 40 ( Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut), Tierra Del Fuego, Las Nonis in Básquet Arena.
