Former WNBA stars, Becky Hammon, DeLisha Milton-Jones Y penny taylor are among eight to be inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee, on June 11, it was announced Monday.
They will be joined by DePaul’s current coach, Doug Brunoformer coaches Paul Sanderford Y Bob Schneiderthe collaborator Debbie Antonelli and veteran player Alice “Cookie” Barron. The 2022 induction will honor the hall’s 23rd class, which opened in 1999.

taylor enters the salon a year after her fellow Australian did Lauren Jackson. taylor he won three WNBA titles with the Phoenix Mercury in a 13-season WNBA career. She helped lead Australia to two silver medals at the Olympic Games, and one gold and two bronze medals at the FIBA World Championship for Women (now known as the World Cup).
Milton-Jones he won two WNBA titles with the Los Angeles Sparks in a 17-season WNBA career. She was the Wade Trophy winner her senior at the University of Florida in 1997, and was part of two gold medal-winning US Olympic teams. She won two gold medals and one bronze medal with the Americans at the World Championships. Milton-Jones she is currently the head coach of the Old Dominion women, who are 19-5 and 9-3 overall in their conference, Conference USA.
hamon is finishing her eighth season as an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs, and will then move on to take over as head coach of the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces for the 2022 season. hamon he played college at Colorado State and then spent 16 seasons in the WNBA, split evenly between New York and San Antonio. She won a bronze medal with Russia at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Bruno is in his 36th season as the women’s coach at his alma mater, DePaul. She has a career record of 756-364 and has led the Blue Demons to the NCAA tournament 24 times. DePaul is 20-7 overall and 12-4 in the Big East conference.
Sanderford she went to the Women’s Final Four three times as a coach at Western Kentucky and also won a junior college national championship in 1981 at Louisburg College in North Carolina. She went 453-189 as a Division I head coach, which included five years at Nebraska.
Schneider he won 634 games as a college coach, most of them in 25 seasons at NCAA Division II powerhouse West Texas A&M. He also won five state championships while coaching girls’ basketball at Canyon High School in Texas. his son, Brandon Schneideris the current head coach of the University of Kansas women’s team.
Antonelli is a former NC State player who has been a basketball analyst for the past 34 seasons, including for ESPN. She has won two Emmy Awards. Antonelli she is also on the board of directors for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, reminiscent of her college coach.
Barron he played for Wayland Baptist Flying Queens, which went 104-0 between 1954 and 1957 and won three national championships. She was also part of the gold medal-winning team for the United States at the 1957 FIBA World Championship.
