Another opportunity for Cousins: signs for 10 days with the Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets announced this Friday that they have signed for 10 days to DeMarcus Cousins, who is still trying to rediscover his best version in the NBA and who had already played for the milwaukee bucks.

The center joined the bucks at the end of November and with them he played 17 games (5 starts) in which he averaged 9.1 points (46.6% shooting from the field), 5.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 16.9 minutes per game.

Cousins’ stage in the Bucks, designed above all for fill the void of the injured Brook López, came to an end in early January when the defending NBA champions terminated his contract.

Now he will have a new opportunity with Nikola Jokic’s Nuggets.

Cousins, 31 and elected four times for All-Star, stood out in his time with the Sacramento Kings (2010-2017) to become one of the best centers in the league.

In the 2015-16 season, his best full year with the Kings, Cousins ​​managed 26.9 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.4 blocks per game.

In February 2017 he signed for the New Orleans Pelicans, where he formed a powerful interior pairing with Anthony Davis. Cousins ​​maintained a very high level in the Pelicans but at the beginning of 2018 he had to operate on the Achilles heel and missed the rest of the season.

From there it began Cousins’ difficult journey by numerous teams, with little stability, different injuries and a level far from his best basketball.

In the 2018-19 season he played for the Golden State Warriors, the following year he signed for LLos Angeles Lakers but he did not make his debut due to injuries, and last season he divided his time between the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers.
