For some time now, the Japanese Professional Baseball League (NPB) has become one of the favorite destinations and even of the highest quality that the Cuban Baseball Federation uses to recruit, under its protection, prominent figures from the Cuban baseball.

Year after year, this bond is further strengthened and new players from the Island join the Japanese professional circuit and others consolidate their contracts such as the cases of Alfredo Despaigne, Liván Moinelo, Yurisbel Gracial, Raidel Martínez, Ariel Martínez, among others.

On the morning of this Friday, October 22, the FCB reported on its official Twitter account that two young prospects from the National Series and members of the Cuba team to the U23 World Cup, the cases of the right-hand pitcher from Pinar del Río Frank Abel Álvarez and the outfielder and first baseman Guillermo García, from Granma, will soon sign contracts with the Chunichi Dragons of the NPB.

In this way, Frank Abel and Guillermo would join the Matanzas receiver Ariel Martínez and the Camagueyan right-hander Yariel Rodríguez, who already confirmed their continuity with the Japanese team.
