There has only been one Triple Crown winner in the last half century, and each of the last six Triple Crown winners has been from the American League.

You have to go all the way back to Joe Medwick with the Cardinals in 1937 to find the last NL Triple Crown.

The last player to win the Triple Crown was Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera in 2012. (44 home runs, 139 RBIs, .330 batting average).

Aaron Judge was close to winning the Triple Crown, but was behind the Venezuelan Luis Arráezso only two Yankees have ever won the complex award: Mickey Mantle in 1956 (52 homers, 130 RBIs, .353 batting average) and Lou Gehrig in 1934 (49 homers, 166 RBI, .363 batting average).
