Massive fight in a baseball game: more than 20 players beat each other and one tried to attack another with a bat

Massive battle at a baseball game

This Wednesday Mexican baseball had a sad day as a result of the barbarism that was experienced in the game that the Toros and the Rieleros animated in Tijuana. The sports duel turned into a clash of blows after the match raised the temperature by some crosses and ended in a pitched battle between both teams.

More than 20 players starred in the images that went viral all over the world. It all started when, in the sixth inning, Anthony Vizcaya of the Toros hit batter José Guadalupe Chávez, who got angry and took off some of his clothing. It was receiver Francisco Córdoba, from the Rieleros, who approached him somewhat annoyed and after a verbal interdict they beat each other. That crossing caused the expulsion of both players and heated up the duel.

The judges fired both baseball players and everything seemed to be under control, despite the fact that a tumult had been generated among several players. After a few minutes the game resumed, but the row was such that soon everything got out of hand again.

In the eighth inning Brandon Quintero, pitcher for the Toros, gave a clear pitch to batter Gabriel Gutiérrez and he then tried to attack him with the bat, but failed to throw it. Therefore, he began to run him across the field and threw his helmet at him to try to hurt him. Immediately, the players from both teams jumped onto the field again and another massive battle ensued.

The brawl reached such a point that at one point there were up to four fights simultaneously on the court and the overflow was total. For that new tangana there were three other expelled.

At the end of the game, which was a victory for the Bulls by 5-3, the star of the Rieleros cheered in Tijuana, Leandro Castro, reflected on what happened: “I hope this does not continue to happen, I think they have something personal against us later of the game in which we did the 22 races. I think everyone who watched this game saw that we respect the game, “and added: “This is an excess of aggressiveness from them towards us.”

It is that the antecedents of violence between these two teams are not new. Last week in another match a similar mass battle that ended with the expulsion of a single player by decision of the main referee.
