In a discreet day for Cubans who play in the United States Minor Leagues, the most outstanding or attractive note was written by the prospect of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Jean Walterswho is developing in Class A with the subsidiary Visalia Rawhide.
The young 20-year-old Cuban player came in to run in the top of the ninth inning, replacing his teammate Sergio Gutiérrez. Then, in the eleventh inning, he touched the sacrifice ball and reached first base safely due to an error by the third baseman, both times he went through the register.

On offense, in this 2022, his first season in Class A, Walters exhibits 43 hits in 219 official visits to the batting cage, including five doubles and two triples. In addition, he has 17 RBIs, 30 runs scored and an offensive line of .196 / .253 / .237 (AVE / OBP / SLG).

The catcher for the Chicago White Sox had a pair of hits in three official at-bats, with two walks and the same number of runs scored, raising his offensive average to .500 during his recovery stay in Triple A. The objective of starting at a level inferior to the MLB is being fulfilled and he is getting closer to recovering his job in the Big Top.
