ATLANTA – – The Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA) revealed the dates on which the winners of last season’s Major League Baseball Outstanding Players awards will be announced on Thursday.
The three finalists for each award will be announced on Monday, November 8 on the BBWAA website.
The winners of each line in each league (Rookie of the Year, Manager of the Year, Cy Young and Most Valuable Player) will be announced, in that same order, between Monday 15 and Thursday 18 at 6 p.m. ET in a special program of the major league television channel.
Several Latin Americans are considered important candidates in various lines, in both leagues.
Dominicans Vladimir Guerrero Jr., of the Toronto Blue Jays; Jose Ramirez, of the Cleveland Indians, and Rafael Devers, of the Boston Red Sox, and the Venezuelan catcher Salvador Perez, of the Kansas City, are some of the contenders for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the American League, which has the Japanese as a favorite Shohei ohtaniby the Los Angeles Angels.
Dominicans Fernando Tatis Jr., of the San Diego Padres, and Juan Soto, of the Washington Nationals, fight the MVP of the National League with the American Bryce harper, of the Philadelphia Phillies, mainly.
The Mexican southpaw Julio Urías, of the Los Angeles Dodgers, in the National League, is the Latino pitcher in the best position to receive attention for the Cy Young. Venezuelan lawLuis Garcia, the Houston Astros, and the Cuban outfielders Randy Arozarena, of the Tampa Bay Rays, and Adolis Garcia, of the Texas Rangers, participate in the fight for the Rookie of the Year of the American League.
The Dominican infielder Wander franco, of the Rays, was promoted a little late in the season, but still had time to impact his team’s advance to the postseason.
Puerto Rican driver Alex Cora, who led the Boston Red Sox to the National League Championship Series, should receive attention in the Young Circuit’s Manager of the Year vote.
