Baseball player Eddie Rosario returns to Puerto Rican soil to celebrate with his people in Guayama

The player Eddie rosario Return to Puerto Rico after two years without stepping on the island as a precautionary measure due to the virus COVID-19 and, immediately, it was the object of several recognitions both in Strength as in the Capitol.

The return of Rosario will also be celebrated on Saturday in Guayama, where a caravan will take place through various sectors of the town before culminating in the Cristóbal Colón Public Square with live music. Rosario has yet to celebrate with his fellow townspeople after winning the Most Valuable Player (MLP) award during the last National League Championship Series and then winning the World Series with the Atlanta Braves.

“Still very happy for the championship, bringing that MVP to Guayama and Puerto Rico”Rosario said on Friday. “Proud to represent my island.”

During the activity in the Hall of the Próceres in the Capitol, Rosario was received to the sound of full by a group of students from Guayama. They also handed him some proclamations from the House of Representatives and the Senate. The player, who was accompanied by his wife Milany, in addition to offspring Mileiddy, Raydieliz and Lucas, confessed that he did not anticipate such a welcome.

“Very grateful to everyone who organized the activity. It is wonderful for me to share this award with my people from Guayama. Very happy. The title (World Series) is the best award I’ve ever won. It is a dream come true and something that will be in history ”, he concluded.

Eddie Rosario, Sr., highlighted that the family anticipates a warm welcome in Guayama.

“I have imagined many times what it will be like. They tell me it will be spectacular, unforgettable. Let’s go over it, let’s kill ourselves as they say. We came for that. Eddie for the people and for Puerto Rico ”, he shared. “We have not been to Guayama for two years and we need. It has been a difficult year due to the pandemic, but we are excited and happy ”.
