The Five Players AS Follow the Falcons vs. Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys will face the Atlanta Falcons at AT&T Stadium this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET in a duel corresponding to Week 10 of the 2021 NFL season.

Dallas enters this duel after a spectacular loss against the Denver Broncos and Atlanta achieved its fourth victory of the season after beating the New Orleans Saints. One thing to consider for this game is that the Cowboys have not lost consecutive home games since Weeks 11 and 12 of the 2017 season.

Here are the five players A of the duel between Falcons and Cowboys.

Dak Prescott / QB / Cowboys

According to the NFL Next Gen Stats, Dak Prescott has a 112.3 passer rating when not pressured by the opposing defense. This will be an advantage against the Falcons, as Atlanta only pushes 21.4 percent of plays.

After seven games, Prescott has 2,045 yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions after completing 69.4 percent of his throws.

Cordarrelle Patterson / WR-RB / Falcons

Patterson does it all on the Falcons offense and will be a constant threat to the Cowboys.. Last week he had 10 yards on nine carries, 126 on six catches and 65 on three kick returns. The four-time Pro Bowl guest has 459 receiving yards and 278 carries with seven total touchdowns.

Micah Parsons / LB / Cowboys

The rookie out of Penn State has been one of the most prominent first-year players on the defensive side of the game. Up to now, records 52 tackles, 14 hits to quarterbacks, 10 tackles for loss of yards and five sacks. In addition, he will face Kyle Pitts, whom he has known well from his days in high school.

Kyle Pitts / TE / Falcons

The rookie Falcons sensation has dazzled with 36 receptions for 546 yards and a single touchdown. However, he will have a difficult duel when he faces Micah Parsons. He and Parsons have known each other since high school in Pennsylvania; Pitts at Archbishop Wood and Cowboys defender at Harrisburgh High School.

Tarell Basham / DE / Cowboys

With the discharge of Randy Gregory due to a calf injury, Mike McCarthy, head coach, and Dan Quinn, defensive coordinator, will have to rely on their rotation of pass rushers to put pressure on quarterback Matt Ryan.

Basham played 63 percent of defensive snaps against the Broncos and recorded only two tackles. Now, he will have a shot at a more prominent role on the Cowboys defense.
