After what happened in week 12 of the 2021 NFL Season, we have new NFL Power Rankings, now for week 13.
1. Arizona Cardinals
Record: 9-2
Previous position: 1 (=)
The Cardinals did not play, but they came out very well this week with the losses of the Rams and Cowboys, as they improve their chances of winning the NFC West and aspiring to the first place in the National Conference.
2. Green Bay Packers
Record: 9-3
Previous position: 3 (+1)
The loss to the Vikings makes less sense when you consider that this team took the Cardinals undefeated and now put the Rams on the ropes.
3. New England Patriots
Record: 8-4
Previous position: 4 (+1)
Regardless of where the Patriots are at the end of the season, this year it should be a given that Bill Belichick takes the Head Coach of the Year award. This has been by far his most impressive season as a head coach.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Record: 8-3
Previous position: 6 (+2)
The game against the Colts was far from easy, but luckily for them they found a way to win. The NFC South seems determined, so now it only remains to fight for the site within the NFC.
5. Kansas City Chiefs
Record: 7-4
Previous position: 7 (+2)
This team is fueling at the perfect time: little by little they are taking control of AFC West and, given the inconsistency of the conference, any place is achievable.
6. Baltimore Ravens
Record: 8-3
Previous position: 9 (+3)
A very uninspiring version of Lamar Jackson showed up this week and the Ravens had what it took to win. It will be interesting to see if they have what it takes to stay at the top of the AFC.
7. Dallas Cowboys
Record: 7-4
Previous position: 5 (-2)
The Cowboys have had some painful losses this year, but this week’s loss to the Raiders is probably the most painful of all, to the point that they already raise some doubts.
8. Tennessee Titans
Record: 8-4
Previous position: 2 (-6)
The sheer number of injuries was going to take a toll on them. Of course, it must be recognized that they do a very good job staying in the fight despite not having their main weapons on offense.

9. Buffalo Bills
Record: 7-4
Previous position: 10 (+1)
The landslide victory over the Saints won’t do any good if this team is unable to defeat the Patriots next week. What’s more, no one will remember anything about Thanksgiving if they fall to New England.
10. Cincinnati Bengals
Record: 7-4
Previous position: 11 (+1)
Regardless of what the Bengals do in the 2021 NFL Season, humiliating the Steelers and sweeping the season series against their hated rival is more than enough to consider the season a success.
11. Los Angeles Rams
Record: 7-4
Previous position: 8 (-3)
When the Rams made the trade for Von Miller, they posted a tweet what did he say “We’re all in“. Since then they have lost three games and it seems they are playing at the wrong table.
12. San Francisco 49ers
Record: 6-5
Previous position: 16 (+4)
If anyone decided to miss the final two weeks of the NFL, they missed the 49ers’ return to postseason contention. It seems Kyle Shanahan still has a lot to fight for.
13. Indianapolis Colts
Record: 6-6
Previous position: 13 (=)
The impression has been generated in recent weeks that the Colts are far better than their record, and it sounds pretty logical. The problem is, they need to find a way to win a few more games if they want to make the postseason.
14. Los Angeles Chargers

Just when we’re ready to write off the Raiders, comes a major week 11 win over the Cowboys. For the moment, they are still in the fight.

17. Denver Broncos
Record: 6-5
Previous position: 22 (+5)
Every time we enlist to rule the Broncos out of postseason contention, they win a game that puts them back, and they have done so despite their problems with the quarterbacks.
18. Pittsburgh Steelers
Record: 5-5-1
Previous position: 14 (-4)
Mike Tomlin’s biggest mistake as the Steelers head coach has been not coming up with a succession plan for Ben Roethlisberger and letting things get to this point.
19. Cleveland Browns
Record: 6-6
Previous position: 17 (-2)
Injuries continue to plague the Browns, and the only thing that could save them from a very disappointing season is finding a way to make the postseason.
20. Washington Football Team
Record: 5-6
Previous position: 24 (+4)
Apparently, the bye week worked out very well for the Washington Football Team, as they have added three victories since then. The best news is that five of their six remaining games are in NFC East, so they are still alive.
21. Miami Dolphins
Record: 5-7
Previous position: 23 (+2)
A month ago, the Dolphins were 1-7 and everyone was asking for Brian Flores’ head. After four wins, tempers have calmed down considerably in Miami.
22. Philadelphia Eagles
Record: 5-7
Previous position: 20 (-2)
After Thanksgiving It looked like the Eagles could fight for the NFC East championship. After what was seen against the Giants, the eye should be on catching up with San Francisco in the wild-card race.
23. Atlanta Falcons
Record: 5-6
Previous position: 25 (+2)
The good news for the Falcons is that they don’t have much trouble settling games against bad teams. The bad news is that they don’t always play against teams like this.
24. New Orleans Saints
Record: 5-6
Previous position: 18 (-6)
Going from Drew Brees to Jameis Winston hadn’t been such a tough deal for the Saints. The move from Winston to Siemian has been simply brutal for them, especially in the absence of Alvin Kamara.

25. New York Giants
Record: 4-7
Previous position: 27 (+2)
While they don’t seem to be fighting at all, the reality is that Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones will be auditioning for next season, either for the future general manager or to convince another team to give them a chance.
26. Carolina Panthers
Record: 5-7
Previous position: 21 (-5)
Apparently the Panthers already remembered the reason they let Cam Newton go a year ago: He doesn’t have what it takes to be a consistent QB anymore… and they remembered it in the worst way possible.
27. Chicago Bears
Record: 4-7
Previous position: 28 (+1)
The good news? They avoided losing to the Lions, which would have been a gigantic Chicago drama. The bad new? The Matt Nagy era continues.
28. Seattle Seahawks
Record: 3-8
Previous position: 26 (-2)
How bad is the Seahawks season getting? Right now, only the Lions have a worse record than they do in the NFC.
29. New York Jets
Record: 3-8
Previous position: 31 (+2)
The good news for this team is that, at the very least, they can beat the Texans one game. And they already have more wins than the Jaguars. So they’re a little better than the baddest teams in the NFL.
30. Houston Texans
Record: 2-9
Previous position: 29 (-1)
Although the loss to the Jets is painful, the reality is that it is for the better, as it keeps them “in the fight” for a better spot in the next NFL Draft.
31. Jacksonville Jaguars
Record: 2-9
Previous position: 30 (-1)
The best sign of how things are going in Jacksonville is that the conversation right now is about collegiate teams that could convince Urban Meyer to drop his NFL adventure. This is being a lost year.
32. Detroit Lions
Record: 0-10-1
Previous position: 32 (=)
Hopes that the Lions will win a game, like the 2021 NFL Season, are quickly running out. Dan Campbell has six chances left.
