Five things we learned from NFL Week 6

With Monday Night Football between the Bills and the Titans as the only pending, Week 6 of the NFL included multiple stories that structure the narrative of the season. The Cardinals continue to baffle the league by leaving rivals on the road without losing undefeated (6-0), a mark that no one predicted for a team that according to several analysts was doomed to occupy the lower part of the NFC West.

The Baltimore Ravens made the strongest statement on the sixth Sunday of the season by strangling the Chargers, a franchise that until before Baltimore’s visit was part of the AFC favorite conversation.

A trio of victories came in matches that need extra time and another handful of new games were defined in the last moments.

Week 6 included a lot of extraordinary moments and that still remains the traditional Monday Football.

Free football remains a trend in 2021

With the Steelers win in overtime, 11 games have required a fifth period, this is the second highest amount for the first six weeks of a campaign, just below 1995 with 12.

During each of the six weeks that have so far been consumed from the calendar, at least one match was extended into overtime, lor that marks the second time (2018) that this happens in this period of the year.

Up to this point in the campaign, 23 games were defined by a touchdown or a field goal. in the last minute, the greatest amount of these types of results.

Ravens can win all kinds of games

On their visit to modern SoFi Stadium, the Ravens ran over the Chargers and now take full control of the AFC North with a 5-1 record.. The rushing effort was once again vital for Baltimore that ended the afternoon with 187 yards and three touchdowns. Tight end Mark Andrews is Lamar Jackson’s new best friend by catching five passes for 68 yards and a touchdown. The dual threat Jackson poses to opposing defenses broadens the Ravens’ schemes that send a message to the league saying: we can win all kinds of games.

Dak Prescott is apparently 100 percent rehabbed

While wide receiver CeeDee Lamb captured the attention of television cameras when he entered the end zone with the winning touchdown, there is more to tell about the Cowboys’ win over Dallas. It was Dallas’ first win at New England in 34 years. They had never before said goodbye to Gillette Stadium with the fist up or rather saying goodbye like Lamb.

Dak Prescott completed 35 of 51 passes for 445 yards and three TDs. Not bad for a man who, at this time last year, was going through distressing moments after breaking his ankle in a dramatic play that still causes nightmares in some fans.

Team America won their fifth straight game to top the NFC East by three games. WFT, Eagles and Giants have to combine to achieve the same number of wins the Boys have in the year: 5.

Raiders show resistance

In a week in which emails with misogynistic, homophobic and racist comments prompted the resignation of the head coach Jon Gruden, the Raiders distracted us and did their job by beating the Broncos. With the victory, Las Vegas rises to the top of the AFC West with a 4-2 record that ties the Chargers. When the team needed a leader to come out in front of the off-court problems, Derek Carr stepped forward and threw 341 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. Some fans waited outside the stadium to see him off with shouts of:MVP, MVP, MVP!

The Raiders offense was just the way the owner wanted it when they signed Gruden in 2018. They added 426 yards during the victory averaging 8.2 yards per play.

Aaron Rodgers may not be in his senior year with the Packers

At the end of the game against the Bears, the local Chicago press questioned Aaron Rodgers if he had enjoyed his extensive rivalry with the city team. Rodgers said yes, but what most pleased Packers fans was that he maintained that he did not believe it was their last big dance at Soldier Field. Green Bay is 5-1 with a two-game lead leading the NFC North.

Davante Adamas proved once again that he is one of the best receivers in the league with four catches for 89 yards averaging 22.2 per reception.

Rarely but the Jaguars snapped their 20-game losing streak

From Week 1 of the 2020 season, fans of the Jaguars had failed to celebrate a victory. The scene had to be moved to another continent for it to finally arrive. At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, Jacksonville overcame a 10-point deficit to win, 23-20, over Miami. Trevor Lawrance became en the first rookie quarterback to win a game in the English capital since the NFL began organizing visits to the island in 2007.

After walking away from the league for a month due to a broken rib, the Miami quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa survived some hard shots and threw 329 yards on his return.
