Arizona Cardinals 2021 NFL Season Analysis

The Arizona Cardinals’ season was one of diametric opposites: From being the last team to lose their unbeaten record in Week 8 of the NFL at the hands of the Green Bay Packers and go on to amass a 10-2 record, this team began a collapse spectacular that ended in the first Monday Night Football played in the Wild Card round, a scenario in which they were beaten at home and defeated 34-11 by their division rival, the Los Angeles Rams.

The 2021 Arizona Cardinals season

A total surprise was the great start that the Cardinals team led from the outside by head coach Kliff Kingsbury and on the field with QB Kyler Murray. Nobody had in their previous forecasts that Arizona could be the last team to lose its undefeated record in the NFL and also, that in that duel against the Packers in October, the game would be decided until the final play.

The MVP of the 2021 season of the Arizona Cardinals

QBKyler Murray

Perhaps this can be considered the consolidation season in the NFL for Kyler Murray who despite injuries, in the first part of the year got into the conversation to win the MVP.

He finished the season with 3,787 passing yards with 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, along with 423 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns scored. All this in 15 games played, including the Wild Card match against Los Angeles. Murray led his team to the playoffs for the first time since he arrived in the league and, despite losing DeAndre Hopkins in the second half of the season, he was able to keep up with the pace of the team to sneak into the wild card round. .

The best moment of the Cardinals in 2021

The winning streak at the beginning of the season was the highest point for the Cardinals. The game that marked what could be the great revelation of the season was the first division game against the Rams.
