Yankees sell one of their minor league teams, the Hudson Valley Renegades

While MLB’s work stoppage has prevented free agent signings from running their course, the offseason continues to produce player-to-player transactions. minor leagues and even MiLB franchises, since it has been announced that the New York Yankees have sold to one of their minor league branches, the Hudson Valley Renegades.

According to information from The Hudson Valley’s New Country newspaper, the Yankees have confirmed the sale of the Renegades, their Advanced Class A franchise, to Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH), a subsidiary of the Endeavor sports consortium, meaning that the expenses of the equipment will no longer be paid for by the Bronx Bombers organization.

Despite the minor league franchise changing hands, it will remain a subsidiary of the New York Yankees and will continue to develop the franchise’s prospects on their way to the majors.

The team was founded in 1994 and has since produced a number of Major League Baseball players, including Scott Podsednik, Jorge Cantú, Ryan Dempster, Joe Kennedy, Craig Monroe, Matt Diaz, Evan Longoria, Josh Hamilton, among others.
