Downs hit a grand slam hit on the opposite side for his team, the Scottsdale Scorpions, making it his fifth home run in the last six games he has played.
Jeter Downs is ranked the fifth-best prospect in the Boston Red Sox organization, according to SoxProspects.com and can perform as both a shortstop and second baseman.
