The New York Yankees fan is having the good fortune to witness one of the greatest individual seasons in the history of MLB, with Aaron Judge emulating all-time greats like Barry Bonds, Babe Ruth or Ted Williams with his huge 2022, and what better for him than he will become a free agent at the end of the season and will most likely receive a huge contract.
Obviously, the favorite to stay with Judge is still the New York Yankees, but for sentimental reasons, the San Francisco Giants seem like a careful candidate for Judge, since Judge himself has admitted to having been a fan of the team when young and his idol is Barry Bonds, plus he’s a Bay Area native. Now, team president Greg Johnson has made it clear they’re going after “that guy from the Bronx.”
As you all know, we’re going to have a lot of flexibility in our payroll next offseason, and we’re keeping an eye on the shortstop market and on that guy hitting in the Bronx.
Aaron Judge is expected to get a contract between $300 million and $350 million, plus an extension that could be anywhere from 6 to 10 years.
