The Mexican Giovanny Gallegos has shone in the 2021 Season of MLB as reliever of St. Louis Cardinals, team that has also been unstoppable in recent days. And if that was not enough, Gallegos set a save record in the Cardinals franchise thanks to the performances he has had on the mound especially in the last 30 days.
Giovanny Gallegos was named the ‘Mexican of the Week’ in MLB after giving great performances on the mound that led to him becoming the new record holder in the St. Louis Cardinals.
According to data shared by @MLB_Mexico, Gallegos set the record for the most saves for a Mexican and a Cardinals pitcher in the span of a month with the 11 he achieved in September.
The pitcher of the San Luis team left behind other “Aztec” pitchers such as Joakim Soria, Juan Acevedo, Sergio Romo and Roberto Osuna, who at the time managed to make 10 saves.
Giovanny Gallegos is having the most fruitful season of his MLB career as a pitcher, given that the St. Louis Cardinals have presented him with 22 chances to save a game and he has served 14 times.
