Who to sit in Fantasy Football? – Week 8 NFL Season 2021

We arrived in the middle of the campaign in our Fantasy Football leagues this NFL 2021 Season, and that is why we show you the players you must leave on the bench for week 8, the famous Sit’Em that can not be missing in our weekly roster planning.

Remember that it is not about them being bad players, but about the matchups or situations that they are going to face every week. These are the fine points that separate the winners in Fantasy Football leagues from the rest. So don’t be afraid to pull the trigger and bank these names, at least this week.

NOTE: Below the player you will find my specific point projections for this week. These projections are from the system (Non-PPR) and are conservative predictions.

Quarterbacks

Jameis Winston vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Projection: 14.5 points

Jameis Winston played a decent game against the Seahawks, but this week against one of the best defenses in pass rush it will be difficult for him to have the time to drop his bombs that make him a profitable QB in a few weeks.

Sam Darnold @ Atlanta Falcons

Projection: 13.1 points

I had mentioned throughout my programs that the Sam Darnold thing was a cruel lie and to think that he was at the level at which he started the campaign was completely delusional. He is the second-highest quarterback with the highest percentage of plays that could end in turnover, just behind Justin Fields.

Running Backs

Antonio Gibson @ Denver Broncos

Projection: 8 points

Last week he had the lowest volume of his entire season and he can’t be trusted with just 43% of snaps and just 61% of carries. For me Antonio Gibson is no longer more than a low RB2, out of the Top 20 due to his zero air involvement and little ground involvement.

Devin Singletary vs Miami Dolphins

Projection: 4.2 points

This backfield is arguably the most volatile in the entire NFL, with one week Sack Moss owning all snaps and the next week being removed by Singletary on all third downs and fast offenses. Let’s not expect anything from Devin Singletary, we don’t even know if he will have a role in this match.

Wide Receivers

Corey Davis vs Cincinnati Bengals

Projection: 6.6 points

This player ran only 68% of the routes last game, being the game in which he has run the fewest routes throughout the season. For a WR to be relevant in Fantasy Football it must be above 75% and Corey Davis was not there last week. Without Zach Wilson and his ability to make big plays, it will be difficult for him to establish himself.

Darnell Mooney vs San Francisco 49ers

Projection: 6.2 points

This offense is completely inoperative through the air and despite facing the 49ers secondary defense, Darnell Mooney does not have the volume that we all want for his breakout. I do not recommend having expectations in this offense that does not work.

Tight Ends

Mo Alie-Cox vs Tennessee Titans

Projection: 3.8 points

This is my favorite player in the whole NFL and it is a very big pain for me to put him in this column, but it is not the fault of the great MoRather, the Colts rotate three TEs, making it completely dependent on TDs. Jack Doyle ran 57% of the routes and Mo Alie-Cox only 34%.

Jared Cook vs New England Patriots

Projection. 3.5 points

There are high expectations with this player, but he is in a similar situation to Mo Alie-Cox, where he shares many of the routes, so it depends purely on how many TDs he may have in this offense. Don’t initiate Jared Cook into this deceptive match.

These are the players to bench in Fantasy Football this week.
