Puerto Ricans are ‘on fire’ with the tree in this Major League postseason

First it was the receiver from Bayamon Christian Vázquez with a huge home run in the thirteenth inning Game 3 of the Division Series to give Boston a thrilling victory over Tampa Bay.

The next day, his partner Kike Hernández hit the sacrifice fly that led the Red Sox to the American League Championship Series against Houston.

And in the very first game of this series, the Santa Isabelino Carlos Correa put the Astros to enjoy with a solo homer that gave him the lead in the seventh inning heading to victory over the Red Sox.

And on Sunday it was Eddie Rosario’s turn. With a runner at second base, Rosario hit a single to center to give the Braves a dramatic 5-4 victory in the ninth inning over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the second game of the NL Championship Series.

Rosario finished the night with four hits in five at-bats and one scored. And the Braves dominate the series 2-0.

In short, Puerto Ricans are shining in the most exciting part of the season and in what way.

With the scoreboard leveled at 4-4, Vazquez was the hero in Game 3 against the Rays as he hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the thirteenth inning for Boston to extend the 2-1 lead in the series to move to a playoff win.

Kike’s Golden Hit

And in the next game, his compatriot Hernández also donned the hero cape with the game tied 5-5. In the bottom of the ninth inning and with runners in third and middle with one out, Hernandez hit a sacrifice fly to plate Danny Santana with the run that allowed them to knock out Tampa Bay in the fourth game and advance to the Championship Series.

Correazo in Houston

And coming into the first game of the series against Boston, Correa hit a solo home run in the seventh inning that broke a 3-3 tie and was decisive in the eventual 5-4 victory. Correa overshadowed a sensational Hernandez night with two solo home runs.

Eddie’s line

And the most recent hero was Rosario on Sunday. The Guy from Guyana singled to center that landed Danny Swanson in the bottom of the ninth as the Braves left the Dodgers on the ground 5-4 in Game 2.
