MLB: Details of Wander Franco’s contract after being official

The dominican Wander franco made official his extensive contract with the Tampa Bay Rays on the MLB.

The contract was closed for the sum 182 million and 11 seasons, with a one-year option number 12 for the sum of 25 million, which would add up to some 207 million for 12 seasons, as long as he exercises his last option.

Wander Franco (104 days) is the fifth Rays player who signs an extension with less than 1 year of MLB service time, joining 3B Evan Longoria (24 days, 2008), LZ Matt Moore (17 days, 2011), RHP Chris Archer (156 days, 2014), 2B Brandon Lowe (58 days, 2019).

• Option to exit the contract in 2023.
