Historical! Rafael Devers joins Albert Pujols as the only two Dominicans to achieve a feat

Although at the moment almost everyone talks about Juan Soto, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. or Fernando Tatis Jr. how the best young players of allor MLB, many forget “Carita” Devers, who despite being almost as young how they and even more experienced, do not get so many reflectors. However, the batter of the Boston Red Sox rubs shoulders with the greats of history and has reached an important mark.

Devers hit his last home run of the season thus far on Sept. 13, hitting 34 this year and 108 in his young but award-winning career. With this, he rubs shoulders with the legendary Albert Pujols, being the two Dominicans with the most homers before his 25th birthday.

When he reached the quarter century, Pujols had 160 homers to his name, while Devers has not yet reached that age, turning 25 on October 24.

In his stellar young career, Devers has hit 100 or more RBIs twice, in addition to hitting more than 30 home runs in the 2019 and 2021 seasons. Also, he was selected for his first All-Star this season and has already won one. World Series in 2018.

I started as a rookie on Al Bat in early 2018 and am going for my third season covering Major League Baseball as a web reporter. I am a fan of the San Francisco Giants, a number one defender of Barry Bonds and a critic of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto and Ronald Acuña are the future of baseball, Mike Trout is overrated, and the Astros deserved to be taken away from the World Series for cheating. Besides baseball, I also enjoy soccer, football, basketball, and just about any other game that includes a ball or a ball. I am also an amateur musician, penniless gamer and very nerdy. Graduated in journalism from the University of Guadalajara, I graduated in 2017. Born in the shrimp capital of the world, Escuinapa, Sinaloa. I lived in Australia for a while; i survived giant spiders, tasmanian devils and fought a kangaroo and didn’t die trying.
