Former Yankees 1B signed with his third team of the year and had A-Rod’s nephew cut from the roster

The braves announced this Friday that they claimed the first baseman Mike Ford, off waivers from the Seattle Mariners and sent him to the Triple-A Gwinnett branch. The 26-year-old Dominican infielder, Joe Dunandwho, by the way, is nephew of former Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguezit was designated for assignment to clear a spot on Atlanta’s 40-man roster.

Mike Ford, who grew up with the New York Yankees, has been a rollercoaster this year, now in his third different organization. He started the regular role with Seattle, moved to the Giants, returned back to the Mariners and was finally designated for assignment by Seattle last weekend, until this Friday he was acquired by the “Tribe of Georgia.”

The 29-year-old left-handed slugger adds a depth option to the organization. Matt Olson obviously has first base secured, but the Braves have put up a mediocre job (.252/.328/.360) among all the DHs they’ve used so far in the 2022 season.

I am a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League and the Boston Red Sox in the American League. My big dream is to get to know the Fenway Park stadium, the historic venue of the “Patirrojos”.
