The gardener of the Sharks from La Guaira, Danry Vasquez speak on exclusive with the ElFildeo team and left important statements for the 2021-2022 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), same that will be his third with this organization.
Facing the 2021-2022 season of the LVBP, the La Guaira Sharks reached an agreement with the Venezuelan outfielder Danry Vásquez, which will allow him to play his third season with the “sharks” and the sixth in this winter league, being very excited about it and being completely in a position to do a good performance with the guairistas.
Plans
The gardener commented to our editor Enrique Cáceres, that he hopes to give 100% of his conditions, entrusting himself to God to have health and have a positive year with the Tiburones de La Guaira team.
“I hope I have the intelligence to face all the challenges that come my way this season. I come to give 100% day by day and as every year I am going to play hard, I want to give what to talk (for the better) to all the fans, “said Danry Vásquez.

“La Bala” Vásquez told us a bit about those rumors that were linked to him before signing with the Sharks again, assuring that he was always playing with this La Guaira organization within his plans.
“Rumors, changes and others are handled by managers and directors. The only thing I can control is preparing myself physically to play baseball with the team I belong to and I was always focused on playing with the Sharks because it is the team where I belong ”, assured Vásquez.
Communication with the new staff of the Sharks
Vásquez assured that he had already had contact with the new coaching staff of the Tiburones organization, having many conversations with manager Dennis Malavé, so he is eager to start playing with the team in the coming season.
“The manager is looking forward to my arrival, I want to meet the new group and start working. They have told me that it is too good a group, full of harmony, where we trust God to make it a productive year for the La Guaira Sharks ”, he added.

Danry Vásquez arrives healthy and fit to play his third season in the LVBP with the Sharks, having high expectations for this season that begins on October 23.

The outfielder has his clear goals for the upcoming LVBP campaign and aspires to great things with the Sharks.

Vasquez spoke of the arrival of the Philadelphia Phillies big league, Rafael Marchán and the Cleveland Indians prospect, Brayan Rocchio, assuring that he will be pieces of the utmost importance for the Sharks in the 2021-2022 LVBP.
“They are two pretty good acquisitions. Hopefully they can do their bit like all Guairistas do, I hope players like them are the key for the Sharks to go further than in other years, “said Vásquez.
First day
Danry assured to be ready to play from the opening day with La Guaira, so he will play the first series against Caribes de Anzoátegui in the city of Puerto La Cruz.

Numbers
During the year 2021, the outfielder played with the Rieleros de Aguascalientes in the Mexican Baseball League, playing 25 games, with 22 hits, four home runs and an average of .278. While in the 2020-2021 LVBP, he hit AVG of .414, OBP of .541, SLG of .678 and OPS of 1,219, with 36 hits, five home runs, 28 RBIs and 25 runs scored in 111 at-bats. However, the numbers are not a priority for him when it comes to playing, he does not give them so much importance.
“I don’t think in numbers, I don’t think about last year, my priority is this season and God is giving me the strength to keep moving forward and have a great year,” said the Sharks outfielder.
The La Guaira Sharks debut next Saturday the 23rd against the Anzoátegui Caribs at the Alfonzo Chico Carrasquel Stadium in Puerto La Cruz and that they have a player like Danry Vásquez from day one, will be of vital importance.
