WWE would be considering the creation of a new World Championship

In the absence of a RAW World Championship, WWE could create one for the red mark.

Since Roman Reigns’ victory at WrestleMania 38 against Brock Lesnar to crown himself the new WWE Undisputed Universal Champion (Universal Championship + WWE Championship), WWE RAW has been orphaned by a World Championshipsince “The Tribal Chief” belongs to the blue brand, SmackDown.

In recent weeks, plans have been reported regarding Reigns at WrestleMania 39, where he would supposedly defend each WWE World Championship on both Night 1 and Night 2. However, these plans would not be official nor would they be 100% agreed, since the situation changes with the passing of the days.

Recently, in the new edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that the company would be “discussing” the creation of a new World Championship for RAW, or SmackDown if Roman Reigns is transferred to the red mark. The renowned journalist went further and commented on the possible parties involved in obtaining this championship, which would be Rhodes, Rollins or McIntyre.

There’s still a lot of talk about creating a second Raw title (or Smackdown if they switch brands with Reigns or if someone beats Reigns) in 2023.

But I’m told that the story going around that that title will be created with Rhodes, Rollins, or McIntyre at night one of Mania this year is not the plan as of this week.

Meltzer also added that there was talk in WWE about unifying a championship so Raw can have its own world champion after WrestleMania.. We will have to be very attentive to the passing of the weeks, but what is clear is that a very eventful path awaits us for the next edition of the great event.
